Day 4 Portland

Today was another fabulous day in beautiful Oregon!  We started the day by having a fabulous breakfast at with everyone then Matthew and I decided to take the kids over to OMSI (The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry).  It was so incredible that we became members and wished we could have spent a whole 2 more days there!  The kids had so much fun playing with the exhibits and there was just so much to learn!  After OMSI we headed of The St. Clare Parish to baptize our goddaughter, Clairet Bernadine Lydia...

Day 3 Portland

Today we had a fabulous day at the beautiful Japanese gardens.  We actually went on a guided tour and learned so much about the gardens, the culture and all the beauty that surrounded us!  Did you know that the Koi fish are VERY collectible, can be VERY pricey and can live for MANY years!?

Day 2 Portland

Let me start by saying that we had the most wonderful host and hostess while in Portland.  Benita had several events arranged for us while on our stay.  She started out by taking us up to "Pill Hill" where all the hospitals are and dropped us off and the top of the hill and let us ride a tram down the hill and picked us up!  It was fun, NOTHING compared to our tram of course but still and experience!  Next stop was the Children's Museum where the kids had some fun and finally she took us to a Oregon local pizza shop called Pizza Schmiza!  It WAS AMAZING pizza, dare I say it...Better than Dion's!

So yes, things have been a BIT Crazy!  But I am determined to finish our Portland trip! soo lets see if I can pull this off...

Day 1 Portland

After a delayed bumpy flight we finally arrived in Portland on Wednesday around 7pm Pacific time.  We were welcomed at the airport by Matthew's Cousin Benita and she took us home to a lovely Pasta Dinner.  We met Clairet for the first time and were instantly fighting over who got to hold her first!  We stayed up talking till the wee hours of the morning catching up and visiting like crazy!  

Portland, Oregon & Washington Trip!

We are home from a FABULOUS family trip!  We had a wonderful time and were able to see, do and experience so many things!  I will give everyone a run down day by day....

April 22nd! Wow! What's My Excuse!

I guess I really don't have an excuse!  The last time I posted Nathanael was 8 months old and I am imbarassed to say that he turned 11 months on Friday! YIKES!  Where does the time go!  Well I posted some video footage of him beginning to scoot/crawl along, lets just say that he is now on the MOVE full speed ahead!!!!  He crawls, cruises and stands alone!  Joci and Jake just got back from camp and had a BLAST!  We missed them like crazy around here but they had such a wonderful time.  I have been getting ready for our upcoming homeschool year like a crazy woman.  We are using a new curriculum this year, Tapestry of Grace, and there is quite a bit of prep work involved so I have been getting everything ready for the upcoming school year.  Nanny has decided to downsize from her 3 bedroom town home to a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment so we have been searching/touring/looking at apartments.  Its been fun but very tiring!  We are also getting ready for some upcoming trips!  Portland on the 15th-21st of July and St.Louis/Chicago the 19th-26th of August.  I continue to be amazed at the blessings the Lord bestows upon me each day from my wonderful hubby to my amazing children.  I will post some "catch up" pics as my desktop computer has been down and I haven't had a chance to download anything recent...but will as soon as I get it back!
