Whew!

The hustle and bustle of Christmas were pretty taxing on all of us! We had a fabulous Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! We were with great-grandparents, grandparents, moms, dads, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and cousins! We shared the story of Jesus's birth in Luke with our children, we ate good, and we were blessed with wonderful gifts. What more could we have asked for! Well all good things seem to come to an end. We have all found ourselves ill is some way or another now! Matthew had a 24 hr. stomach flu on Saturday, Jacob has itchy, water eyes, stuffy/runny nose, slight cough, sore throat, and sleepiness. Nathanael wakes up with a yucky nose (Thankfully that is all!), and I have been having some pains that I think are gall bladder related. Jocelyn remains healthy PRAISE THE LORD! Your prayers would be much appreciated for a speedy recovery for Jacob, good health for Jocelyn and Nathanael, and knowlege/discernment for me and Dr.'s as to what to do concerning my gall bladder.
Thank you all in advance for your prayers. May God Bless You ALL!

Snow Day!

As many of you know...I have been having a difficult time putting "fun things" into our school schedule! I am just one of those...drive em hard and get the school week done so we can check that week off! Well, thanks to our wonderful Homeschool Group that meets monthly to talk about important issues, encourage one another and just plain ole talk, I have been encouraged to "have some fun"! Being a licensed teacher by trade, it seems like this would not come so hard to me...heck I used to teach KINDERGARTEN! For some reason I just get too worried about the weeks and checking off what we have accomplished! I am working on it so...on Tuesday...when even APS took a snow day...so did we! The kids learned some valuable things too I might add...shapes, shape construction(Math), balance(Science), Creativity (Art), Exercise(PE), just to name a few!

Oops...Jacob's down!

Looking Like a Pro Jake keep it up!

Check out my little Joci!

Look at them Go!

Happy Sunday All!

I just wanted to share some lovely pictures of my "Little Stars on Ice"! Our church's homeschool group organized a lovely field trip for the kiddos to the Outpost Ice Skating rink and boy did my kiddos have a blast! They really have never ice skated and let me tell you they caught on pretty quick! I was so proud of them! Unfortunately Jake took one too many falls on his right elbow and it was swollen so big! But that did not stop him, he's already asking when we can go again! Thanks to my buddy Danielle I have some great shots of them since me and Nathanael were hanging out in the warm areas for the most part! Enjoy!

Checking out the gadgets on the saucer!

So Guess who turned 4 months old on December the 3rd! Nathanael went to the Dr. yesterday and is growing by leaps and bounds! He weighed in at 12.4lbs! Wow that is over a 7lb gain in less than 4 months! Anyway...we all enjoy him so very much. He has started to laugh and crack up at us! He also has moved from his bassinet to his own crib in his own room finally! His new bedtime is 8:30 and he will sleep until 7am! He constantly wants to be sitting up so we pulled out the saucer and he enjoys that for a bit! Where does the time go! What happened to the little 6.3lb baby I brought home? Oh well the times are so special that we all get to spend with one another. Praise the Lord I am able to be home, homeschooling the children and enjoying my little Nathanael.

Nathanael and Aubrey's first swimming experience!
(I know I look horrible I had just woken up!)

Well....Guess it's been a little too long! Life has been a bit crazy! I am going to post two tonight since I am so far behind...Part I

Home again...Home again! Well, I am happy to say that Nathanael's first road trip was a complete success! He and his cousin Aubrey took to the van much better than we ever could have possibly imagined! The 6.5 hour trip was not bad and we only had to stop for gas! Can you believe it with two almost 4 month olds! Anyway...my mom rented a house in Scottsdale for the week and we had a fabulous time! We had a pool, hot tub, and were living it up in a gorgeous Scottsdale home on the golf course. Jacob played a round of 18 holes while Jocelyn swam until she would shrivel up! Nathanael had his first swimming experience and we all had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner! My mom celebrated her 50th birthday and we presented her with a very special photo quilt of the past 50 years of her life! We were able to see family too! What more could we have asked for!

Decorating those Cakes!

Jocelyn's 10th!

Well...Jocelyn is offically a decade old! I cannot believe how quickly time goes by! This past week and weekend we celebrated Joci's decade of life! She has been such a blessing to our family especially since Mr. Nathanael has been born! She is quite the "little momma"! She loves to change Nathanael's diapers, carry his carseat, push the stroller, dress him, pack and grab the diaper bag, etc.! We celebrated Jocelyn's birthday with a cake decorating party! (Thanks to Vicki!) I must say...the cakes turned out fabulous! On Thursday, November the 13th (Joci's offical bday) Nathanael rolled over from tummy to back! It was so awesome! He is growing faster than I ever possibly imagined! He has been smiling and laughing out loud like crazy! He is such a joy! I have been doing tons of laundry today in preparation for our Thanksgiving/Mom's 50th vacation in Scottsdale, AZ. We will be leaving on Sunday and will be gone through Saturday the 20th! I will post pics and updates when we return!

Duck Pond

Good evening everyone! I hope this post finds everyone well and blessed! We are so happy and blessed in our Moya home! Nathanael is growing by leaps and bounds as are my big babies! Jocelyn and Jacob had their Well-Child check ups today and I am happy to report that I have 2 very healthy pre-teens but WOW have they grown! Jocelyn is in the 90th percentile for her height, 4feet 9 3/4"(should have known that with a size 7 womens shoe!) and Jacob is not far behind her at 4' 4"! What happened to my babies! Nathanael has really started to "talk", smile and laugh a lot! He brings so much joy to all of our lives...we seem to all "fight" over him constantly!

Jacob Serenades!

I caught them all together on the sly! Jacob was serenading his sister and baby brother with his guitar tunes! Just to catch you all up a little, Jacob began Guitar lessons at the UNM Music Prep school last fall. Well...he started out in beginning for the fall and spring, in the summer took an intermediate and after summer his teacher told him he needed to move into advanced. Jacob loves playing the guitar...we rarely have to remind him to practice and he has been known to take it into the bathroom to play...UHMMM! Very interesting! We are very proud of his skills and hope he will soon be playing with the worship team at church praising the Lord!

The Brothers!

Nathanael Ian

Jacob Matthew

Happy Friday ALL!!!

I saved a few of both Jocelyn and Jacob's outfits from when they were babies. Now I didn't save them with the intention of having more children, but I did save them just for keepsakes. Well, since we have been blessed with a baby boy...Nathanael has been able to wear a few things of Jacob's. (Aubrey has been wearing some of Jocelyn's things too!) One thing I saved in particular was a yellow sleeper, it was one of my favorites! I now have pictures of both Jacob and Nathanael in the same sleeper. You tell me...do they look alike or what! Enjoy! Because I sure am!

Auntie Jen!

I don't know if you all know...but I became an Auntie 6 days before Nathanael was born. My sister-in-law Desiree and I were both pregnant together, and now we are raising our babies together! It has been a very fun and emotional journey doing this together. Desi and I were both trying to get pregnant together...she suffered a miscarriage and an ectopic pregnancy, and we were recovering from a reversal. It was so special to go through everything together. My neice's name is Aubrey and she is just a doll! I thought I would show you some pictures of Nathanael and his cousin!

Yay!! 7AM!!!

GREAT NEWS!!! Nathanael slept from 10:30-7am!! Believe it or not...one hour difference is a world of difference to me! I can start my day at 7 no problem! I want to catch up a little on pics so I will post a pic of Nathanael taking his first bottle which was actually about 3 weeks ago. His daddy was giving it to him and he took it rather well! The second pic is of his first offical outing when we went to the State Fair and the last is of Jake, Joci and Grandma Viola at the Fair! Enjoy!

Nathanael Slept through the NIGHT!

Wow! My little man is just growing up too fast for me! Last night he had his last feeding at 10:00pm. Usually he will sleep anywhere between 3-4:30 am, get up for a feeding and then sleep until 7-7:30am. Well this morning he slept until 6am! Most of you out there are probably thinking OH that is so wonderful her baby is sleeping through the night! Well...call me crazy but I am kind of not liking it so much! :( First of all it means that he is growing up entirely too fast and secondly it means that when he wakes up at 6am he is WIDE AWAKE ready to start the day! Lets just say...NOT ME! That takes me back to this 8 and a 1/2 years later business...Joci and Jacob are almost 10 and almost 9...They sleep in! But I wouldn't have it any other way...Nathanael is such a blessing. Today he was under his gym and he was actually batting at his bear. It was adorable! Well off to bed I go since my morning may start out much earlier tomorrow then what I'm used to! And before I forget...Joci finished up BETA Math today with 91%! YAY JOCI!!

OK...OK...

Well...here I was so excited to journal my life online and whomever happened to stop by could share in our family's joy...well...uhhh I haven't been doing so great! Life has been busy as usual! Nathanael has turned 2months old since we last posted...(he is 10 weeks now!) he went to his well baby check up and weighed in at 9.8 lbs. He is growing beautifully and is just precious in our sight! He is very happy and has the cutest smile!! Joci and Jacob are doing well too! We have begun our 7th week of homeschooling studying US History! We have been learning lots about those human sacrificing Aztecs and the Sun worshipping Incans. Jacob passed Beta Math with a 95% and is now starting Gamma (multiplication). Joci is finishing up her final test and will also be moving on to Gamma! My poor husband has been working non-stop on changing over swamp coolers for the winter! He had 108 on his list and is nearly done! And this is only his SIDEJOB!!! Well I hope my next post does not take as long as this one because I have so much to tell about our journey!

Computer Woes!

WOW!! Where have I been! Technology today is something else! It is a love/hate relationship in my opinion. You need it so much yet it can really stress you out. Well...lets just say my computer crashed and being the dork that I am...well I never backed up ANYTHING!!! Including family photos, word documents, Quicken banking stuff...yeah you get the picture! So here I am with one valuable piece of advice to all of my friends, family and loved ones...BACKUP YOUR STUFF!! I know we all think about doing it but never get around to it...well JUST DO IT!!

It will save you lots of headaches. On with the update...

Our not so little family is just wonderful! We have just completed our 3rd week of homeschooling...We are using Sonlight Core 3 which is an introduction to US History...very interesting. Jocelyn and Jacob are doing very well. Nathanael is just a complete joy to our family all 4 of us just ooh and aah over him all day long. He will be 7 weeks tomorrow (YIKES they grow too fast!) and he is sleeping so well. We are doing the Babywise and I attribute much of that to his routine. He sleeps from 10:30pm-3:30am and then till 7:00am! I also would love to share with you all that he has started giving us all precious smiles! We are just so blessed!

And Baby Nathanael Ian Makes Five!!!

Hello Friends, Family and Others!

I have decided to join the masses and keep an online journal of the happenings in our not so little family! I would like to start by saying that Matthew and I have just celebrated our 11th anniversary. We were blessed in 1998 with Jocelyn Marie Moya and only 14 months later...we were blessed with Jacob Matthew Moya! Having children that close together is lets see...no walk in the park...so we decided to end our baby having days! Matthew went under the knife for the surest form of birth control even after the doctor warned him that he was much too young.
Well...needless to say...we should have listened to the Doctor! In August of 2006 we decided to celebrate our 9 year anniversary by undoing what was done in 2000...thats right...a vasectomy reversal...I know you men out there are all grimacing and thinking poor dude twice under the knife in the groin area...well Matthew wanted to do it and I was just fine with that. Finally on August 3rd we were blessed with our precious baby boy...Nathanael Ian Moya and so begins the story of 8 and a 1/2 years later!!!
